Return on Investment (ROI) is the number one killer of most automation programmes. One of the reasons why some enterprises fail to realise a good ROI can be attributed to the contract/relationship they have with their RPA service provider. The relationship is typically win-loss. The service provider delivers on what was agreed on in the contract but does not commit to the desired business outcome. For example, the desired business outcome could look like a 75% increase in claims processing. These contracts are detrimental to the enterprise as the service provider shares fewer automation risks.
As Intelligent Automation becomes mission-critical for enterprises, enterprises must selectively choose a contracting system that benefits both the enterprise and the service provider. This is referred to as an Intelligent Automation Outcome-based contract. Typically, a win-win relationship.
